When is an online consultation used?
Online Consultation is designed as a post-treatment follow-up service. After you have completed your treatment and returned home, your coordinator can help schedule a video appointment with your doctor when a clinical review is needed.
This consultation is not positioned as a free pre-travel service. It is a paid medical appointment used to review your recovery, answer treatment-related questions and support continuity of care after your in-person treatment.
What can be discussed after treatment?
Your doctor can discuss how your recovery is progressing, review symptoms or concerns, explain medication or wound-care questions, and advise whether additional local tests, imaging or in-person follow-up may be needed.
If you have new reports, laboratory results or images after returning home, share them with your coordinator before the appointment so the doctor can review them and use the consultation time effectively.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Preparation makes a post-treatment online appointment far more useful. Share any new medical reports, test results, prescriptions or imaging with your coordinator ahead of time so the doctor can review them before you meet. Find a quiet, well-lit, private space, test your internet connection and camera in advance, and join a few minutes early.
Write down your main recovery questions beforehand so nothing is forgotten in the moment, and keep a current list of your medications to hand. If you would like a family member to join — for support or to help with language — arrange this with your coordinator, who can also ensure interpreter support where needed.
Is it private and secure?
Your medical information is confidential, and remote consultations are conducted with that in mind. Records are shared through secure channels arranged by your coordinator rather than casual messaging, and the video appointment itself takes place over a private connection. If you have specific questions about how your data is handled, your coordinator can explain the safeguards in place.
For your own privacy, take the call somewhere others cannot overhear, and only share your records through the secure method your coordinator provides. Treat the consultation as you would an in-person consultation — a confidential conversation between you and your doctor.
