Perthes Disease

Perthes disease is a childhood condition and occurs when blood supply is temporarily interrupted, manifesting with limping. A persistent pain (for 7 days) and limping without fever in children are suggestive of Perthes disease. This disease can be caused by difference in severity like an earthquake. It can be corrected without any surgeries but sometimes treatment may not provide the desired outcomes despite the performed surgery. The approaches to treatment of this disease remain unclear in the world. The patients require periodical follow-up during the recovery period that takes at least 2 years.
