Antagonist Protocol

Unlike prolonged protocol, the medication that prevents spontaneous hatching of the eggs will be started after the treatment has been started and the eggs have reached a certain size. It is currently used as the first-line treatment option. Because the suppression of eggs is not initially started, the amount of medication stimulating the ovaries is reduced. The follow-up during treatment period is as in the prolonged protocol.

In this treatment protocol, the ovaries are suppressed prior to administration of drugs to induce the ovaries. GnRH analogous is started at the 21st day of menstrual cycle and continued to injection to hatch the eggs. While using GnRH analogous, you will be called to our center at the 2nd or 3rd day of your menstruation to have ultrasound and blood tests in order to understand whether the medication has produced the required action. If the outcomes indicate the desired action has been achieved, fertility drugs to induce the ovaries will be started. During treatment period, your medication dose and day to collect your eggs will be determined by ultrasound and blood tests.
